I'm certainly not a big fan of re-releases because there are always arguments why they could be consided as some kind of a rip-off.
Let my try to explain why that's not my intention:
While looking for a label to release my new full-lenght album "The Great Pretending",
I did not found a satisfying solution to release it on cd with a label in my back.
Lacking money, I can't cope with financing it by myself.
So the only possibility to reach as many people as possible without spending money
I actually don't have was to decide upon digital distribution, which is much less costly.
This means the album will be available on Amazon-MP3, iTunes, eMusic, Musicload, Napster etc.

Realizing that nowadays, it means almost everyone can access the music, I thought it might be
a good idea to make "One Frame Left" and also "Nullsummenspiel" available via digital distribution.
You find more detailed information in the discog section and on the espacially created information pages.

The problem is, that I don't have an influence on the price in the shops.

"One Frame Left" was almost 4 years old at this point of time and it felt like cheating to
release the same thing digitally for a probably higher price than on cd.
Since I can't change the price, I can change the product.
I think I enhanced my productions skills since working on OFL and thought about giving it a breath of fresh air.
So I re-worked every song regardings sounds, effects and mixdown (except for the remixes),
made two remixes myself and now I'm satisfied with the result.

Of course there are at least two groups of people who will feel cheated anyways:
- The people who already paid for the cd release and would like to hear OFL v2 too.
- The people who stick to cds and don't want to invest a single cent into digital music.
Well for the second group I can only say: Sorry pals but I don't see any other possibility.
As I don't want to rip off people who already bought the cd,
I'll give you the opportunity to get the whole thing for 2,99 €.
If you think it's too much, you can choose just to get the two new remixes and are still below that price. How is that supposed to work? Well, I need you to prove you have the original cd. You can send me a photo of you and the cd, of your favorite cuddly toy and the cd or your dog scrunching the cd. You can also send me a copy of the invoice or a copy of the confirmation email you got from the mailorder. I don't care. I think this is as far as I can go without giving it away for free.

If approved, I will send you a PayPal address to send the money to and send you an email with the link to a .zip file including OFL v2, once I received your payment [within 24 hours, mostly much faster]. I will change the password after you give me a positive response about having the whole thing downloaded. You shouldn't be taking up too much time because I will change the password not later than 2 days after sending you the link.

"Nullsummenspiel", on the other hand, was some kind of experiment right from the beginning.
The album is basicly the same as it was when I gave it away for free.
It has been downloaded round about 600 times half a year later from both, my website and other sources.
After that period I got the proposal to release it on cd anyways (with an additional remix by Sacred Complex from 2004). I didn't expect too much but I knew there are always the cd-hardliners and since I didn't have to finance it by myself, it wasn't too hard to say "yes" and see what happens. Well what happened was, that only very few people bought the cd. Who knew? ;) Since I just made the decision with "One Frame Left", I also wanted to make "Nullsummenspiel" available for a wider audience. Well, stop. It already has been available for a wider audience in 2008 when available as a free download, hasn't it? Yes. So would anyone spend money for the same thing? Rather not. Did I have something up my sleeve to make this release more attractive and being more worthwile spending money on? I don't know, you tell me. But I decided to remasted the very first Krankheitssymptom songs from the era 2002-2004 and also add the latest Asphyxiation Death songs, also from 2003-2004.

So anyway, some people will also feel cheated and ripped off. These are your opportunities:
---> If you already own the free download or the cd:
- Don't buy a single track and be happy with the free download you got between 10/2008 and 04/2009.
- Buy the additional tracks - or at least the ones you're interested in - because the first 11 songs are just the same as before.

---> If you don't own any of the songs yet:
- Buy each single song you like.
- Buy the whole package with 21 songs and save a lot of money.
- Buy something else if you just don't like my shit. :)
